Mrs. Mary Spade, wife of William Spade, died on Saturday morning, at 12:30 o'clock, at her home on Brush Mountain, of Spanish influenza, after a short illness. Deceased was a daughter of William and Katherine Lathero and was born on Brush Mountain, July 18, 1873. She was a very excellent woman, being a consistent member of St. Michaels Catholic church of Hollidaysburg. She is survived by her husband and two children: Lawrence and Jean, at home; also by two brothers and one sister: Peter Lathero of Brush Mountain; Matthias Lathero of Coalport and Mrs. Annie Ruffley of Hollidaysburg. The remains have been taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. Ruffley on Union street. The funeral services will be held this morning at 9 o'clock in St. Michael's church.
