He was born in Gallitzin, Jan. 15, 1872, the son of William and Charlotte Spade. He was married to Miss Catherine Nagle, September, 1919, in Hollidaysburg. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Samuel Bryar of Altoona; three sons, Lawrence and Gilbert of Altoona and Eugene of Johnstown; the following stepdaughters, Mrs. Stella Spade of Altoona, Mrs. Margaret Spade of Claysburg, Mrs. Mary Gates of Altoona, Mrs. Violet Frates and Mrs. Catherine Goursch of Newark, N. J., four step-sons, Leo Nagle of Cresson, Joseph Nagle of Lilly, Wolford Nagle of Newark, N. J., James Nagel of Washington, D. C., one step brother S. Spade and a step-sister Josephine Spade, both of La Jose; Mrs. Alice Lurey of Gallitzin. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Friends will be received at the Krish funeral home.
