The news of the death of Mr. Christian Sparr, of James Creek, Woodcock Valley, was confirmed by the announcement of the fact that his interment would be made here. Mr. Sparr died from a paralytic stroke. The attack came on while he was returning home from one of his clock and watch repairing trips. He fell and was found unconscious. He was carried to his home, where he lingered until last Friday, when his soul left its earthly abode. He was born near Williamsburg 66 years ago. His father's name was David Sparr. He leaves a wife and two grandchildren. He was interred in the Sparr cemetery, on the J. D. Hicks farm, on Sunday last. Morning Tribune, Wednesday, October 25, 1899
