On Sunday night, at 11 o'clock, Joseph Speilman, aged 15 years, was relieved from his sufferings by death. Last spring he submitted to a painful surgical operation and had a scrofulous tumor removed from his neck by Davis, of Philadelphia. The tumor had attached itself to and entirely surrounded the main artery and in its removal it required the greatest skill, which was successfully done, but without the beneficial results hoped for, and the operation, it is believed, only hastened death. The funeral will take place to-day from the residence of Mr. Speilman, at Y switches, at 10 o'clock and proceed to Newry, the place of interment.
