Spicer, 65, of 917 Green Ave. Tower, Altoona, died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 1993, at the Tyrone Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born September 7, 1927, in Granville Township, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late George D. and Alice (Bellinger) Johns. She was married in Nov. 1946 to Robert Spicer, who preceded her in death on April 28, 1975. She is survived by two sons: Robert J. Spicer of Tyrone, and John P. Spicer of Hollidaysburg. Also surviving are one brother and three sisters: Bud Johns of Ohio, Phyllis Harris of Altoona, Audrey Gray of West Decatur, Pa., and Drucilla Johns of State College. She was of the Lutheran Faith. She was last employed as a cook with over 40 years service at Albright Nursing Home, Valley View Home, and the Conrail Dorm, in Altoona. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 13, 1993, at 12 Noon at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. John A. Nalley officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township, Bellwood, Pa. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and on Wednesday one hour before the service.
