SPOTTSWOOD

  Mrs. H. L. Spottswood, wife of H. L. Spottswood of the DeLena 
apartments, Chestnut avenue between Tenth and Eleventh streets, died 
Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Carlisle of influenza-pneumonia.  She 
was ill but a short time.  Mr. Spottswood had been in poor health for 
some time and went to Carlisle for a change of climate, and his wife 
accompanied him.  Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister, 
Mrs. W. W. Burbank, also residing at the DeLena apartments.  She and 
her husband departed  for Carlisle at noon yesterday, on being notified 
of the serious illness of Mrs. Spottswood.
