JOSEPH H. SPRIGGS	

Of 2217 Branch avenue, a ninth grade student in Roosevelt Junior High school, 
died at his home at 1.20 o'clock yesterday afternoon after three months' 
illness.  He was born in Altoona on April 18, 1923, a son of Albert and 
Frances (Hogans) Spriggs.  Surviving are the parents, one brother and one 
sister, James and Alice Spriggs, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. D. B. 
Hogans of the city.  The youth was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist church 
and Junior Sunday school class.  Friends are being received at the home.

SPRIGGS - Funeral services for Joseph H. Spriggs of 2217 Branch avenue will 
be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Mt. Zion Baptist church by Rev. 
L. L. Banks, pastor.  Interment in Grandview cemetery.  Friends may call at 
the home.
