  Sister Mary Cyril Spuhler CSA, 87, of Nazareth Heights, died there at 
4:55 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 1979.
  She was born Jan. 16, 1892, at Altoona, Pa., the daughter of the late 
Frederick and Katherine Becktenwald Spuhler.
  Sister Mary Cyril was professed in the order on Aug. 15, 1916, and 
was a primary school teacher in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and New 
York. 
  Surviving are two sisters, Miss Louise and Miss Ida Spuhler, both of 
Altoona, Pa.
  Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Nazareth Heights 
Chapel. The Rev. Marius Noe, OFM, Cap., will officiate, and burial will 
be in St. Joseph's Springs Cemetery.
  Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at Nazareth Heights Chapel. 
Zacherl Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Bertha Helen Spuhler. C.S.A. refers to the Convent of 
Saint Agnes. Ida Spuhler was Ida Kelley. The obituary omits her sister 
Mary Catherine (Spuhler) Griffith.
