Names of Those Who Have Crossed the Silent River - Arrangements For the Funerals. At her home No. 1300 Twelfth avenue, at twenty-five minutes after 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, Mrs. Florine Stahl, beloved wife of W. B. Stahl, passed from the trials and the sufferings, to which we are heir while upon earth, and entered into that rest which has been prepared for those who love the Lord. Her death came from cancer of the mammary gland. The disease was first noticed in February last and developed rapidly. In the hope of being cured she visited Rome, N.Y., and there underwent an operation, the attending physician being the eminent Dr. Kingsley. She remained there about three weeks but on her return home the disease again manifested itself and from that time it grew worse. For the past eight months her sufferings were of the most intense nature, yet the end was peaceful and in the calm of the bright Sunday afternoon, the spirit took its flight from its earthly tenement. Despite the great agony which the disease caused her she was in full possession of her faculties until Sunday evening. It was then she bade good-bye to those of her relatives and friends who were by her and as this word of parting was spoken she offered a prayer for them. Death had no terrors to her and it was to the living that her thoughts went out. During her illness she was nursed by the kindest of relatives and friends and received the best of medical attention. Mrs. Stahl was aged 43 years, 1 month and 6 days, having been born October 17, 1847, at the Burns homestead near Canan station. She was the eldest daughter of Joseph G. W. and Margaret L. Burns, and was married May 5, 1868, to Mr. W. B. Stahl, an engineer in the employ of the Altoona division, Pennsylvania railroad. He mourns the death of a loving wife, and the one daughter who was born to them and who is now the wife of Mr. Charles S. Myers, has been bereft of a most affectionate mother. Mrs. Stahl's parents are also living, and she leaves nine sisters and two brothers. These are as follows: Mrs. Robert Robison, of Altoona; Mrs. D. S. Kerr, of Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. William P. Zeigler, of Williamsport, Pa.; Mrs. D. S. Gibboney, of Duncansville; Mrs. Robert Stiffler, of Stiffler's Station; Mrs. Edward P. Gamble and Mrs. J. B. Tarr, of Altoona; Mrs. Archie Carnahan, of Hagerstown, Md., and Mrs. Cora M. and Messrs J. Harrison and Robert I. Burns, residing on the homestead. Mrs. Stahl was an almost life-long member of the Lutheran church, joining that faith in the years of her girlhood, and was at the time of her death a member of the Second church of this city. She was ever attentive to her religious duties; they were to her a labor of love - work done for the Master. Thus it was that when the summons came she was ready. A devoted Christian, she has gone to her reward. The funeral services will be held in the Second Lutheran church on Tuesday morning at 10.30 o'clock and the cortege will leave the house at 10 o'clock - one-half hour previous. The services will be conducted by Rev. J. F. Hartman, her pastor, assisted by Rev. E. D. Weigle, of the First church. Interment in Fairview cemetery.
