All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ JACOB EMORY STAHL, For many years a passenger engineer on the Middle division, died at 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home, 919 Sixth avenue, death being caused by a complication of diseases. He had been in ill health for two years and was forced to relinquish his duties with the railroad company at that time. He was born in Perry county, April 15, 1865, being the son of Reuben and Nancy Stahl, both deceased. He is survived by his wife, who before her marriage was Laura Wertz of Hollidaysburg; three sons, Walter C., of this city, Clyde O., of Douglas, Ariz., and Lester, of this city; two step children, Mrs. E. E. Cramer of this city and Jacob H. Wertz of Hollidaysburg; one sister, Mrs. Anna B. Lantz of Pinecroft, and these brothers: Amos A. Stahl of Millerstown; D. B. and W. E. Stahl, both of East Juniata. Mr. Stahl was a member of the First Church of God, Lodge 287, B. L. F. and E., the B. of L. F., the Pennsy Relief and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Thompsontown. The funeral will be held from the First Church of God on Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be made in the cemetery at Geeseytown. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday, March 16, 1921
