MRS. SARAH J. STAINS.

  On Saturday at 3.40 p.m. Mrs. Sarah J. Stains died of diseases 
incident to old age, at the residence of her son, S. G. Stains, 2920 
Broad street.  She was 74 years old and was born at Pennsylvania 
Furnace, Centre county.  She is survived by the son with whom she spent 
her last days and by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Cramer, of Indiana, Pa., 
and Mrs. Anna Prunkard, of Juniata Gap.
  The funeral will take place this afternoon at 1.30 o'clock.  Services 
will be conducted at the house, after which the body will be buried in 
the Geeseytown cemetery.
