Staver died yesterday morning at 5.10 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. E. Cross, 312 Cherry avenue, following a stroke of paralysis. She was aged 79 years last June 2 and was born at Pine Station, Clinton county, her maiden name being Henry. She was married at the age of 20 years to Cyrus F. Staver who died thirteen years ago in Williamsport, where Mrs. Staver resided up until last year when she came to Altoona to make her home with her daughter. Besides the daughter at whose home she died Mrs. Staver is survived by the following children: Harry Staver of Akron, O., who was at her bedside at the time of her death, Quig Staver of Jersey Shore, Thomas Staver of Williamsport, Charles and Edward Staver of Portland, Ore. Mrs. Staver was a member of the Fourth Street Methodist church in Williamsport. One brother, Russell Henry of Williamsport, also survives. Funeral services will be conducted at the house at 10 o'clock this morning in charge of Rev. D. D. Kauffman, pastor of the Grace Methodist church. The body will then be taken on the 10.09 train for Williamsport where short services will be held in the Wildwood cemetery chapel prior to interment. Altoona Times, Thursday Morning, October 3, 1918
