MARY STAYER Widow of Albert Stayer and one of Roaring Spring's oldest citizens died last night at 10:30 o'clock at her home, 734 New Street, death being attributed to a complication of ailments incident to advanced age. She was a daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Steele) Hershberger and was born in Bedford county on November 10, 1859. She was united in marriage with Mr. Stayer at Everett, R.D., on February 3, 1882. He preceded her in death in 1930. Surviving are these children, John H. Stayer of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Eliza Over at home, Henry H. Stayer of Houston, Tex., Paul A. Stayer of Roaring Spring, R.D., and Mrs. Ross Berkheimer of Roaring Spring and Blair B. Guyer of Hollidaysburg who was reared in the Stayer home. There are five grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Sophie Baker of Everett, and two brothers, Daniel Hershberger of Everett and Anson Hershberger of Bedford. Mrs. Stayer was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren and was affiliated with the Roaring Spring church since 1920. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening.
