Steele, 55, of McFarland Road, Fuoss Mills, RD 5, Tyrone went home to be with the Lord Monday afternoon November 10, 2003 at his residence. He was born September 7, 1948 in Saulsburg, a son of Boyd and Marie (Bookhamer) Steele. He was married to Sally Ann (Boslet) McKinley on May 28, 1982 at the Sinking Valley Presbyterian Church by the Reverend Samuel Lewis. Surviving is his wife, five daughters, Cristy (Will) Roleson of Kent, Ohio, Holly D. Steele of Oxford, Ohio, Amber D. Steele of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tracy L. (Brian) Swayne of Tyrone, Kristin A. (Rick) Barrett of Sinking Valley, a son Michael A. (Kellie) McKinley of Newport News, Virginia, 12 grandchildren, a sister, Deborah (Ed) Jackson of Warriors Mark, two brothers, Col., Edgar (Alice) Steele of Virginia, Timothy (Carolyn) Steele of Spruce Creek, two nieces and four nephews. Mr. Steele was employed at Albemarle Corporation, Tyrone as a Senior Operator for the last 18 years. He previously worked at Juniata Packing, Tyrone as a driver for 18 years. He was a member of the Fuoss Mills Missionary Alliance Church and was a 1966 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, putting up his many model train displays, working in his workshop and fishing with his good friend Tom Hedberg. He is dearly loved by his family and friends and will be missed very much. He was a kind and gentle man with great spirit. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Feller Memorial Home with Pastor Richard Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Memorial Park. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Tyrone Daily Herald, November 11, 2003
