ZACHIUS EMIL STEELE, Sr.

Well known retired Pennsylvania railroad engineer on the old Tyrone division, 
died this morning at 12.15 o'clock at his home, 648 West Fourteenth street, 
Tyrone, death being attributed to a complication of ailments.  He was born at 
Coleville, Centre county, on Dec. 1, 1864, and on August 18, 1888, united in 
marriage with Anna Neese of Bellefonte, who survives with these sons and 
daughters: Roy B. Steele of Cleveland, O., Zachius Emil, jr., of Detroit and 
H. E. Steele of Tyrone, Mrs. George Campbell of Aliquippa, Mrs. Russell 
Snyder of Philadelphia and Mrs. Harry Colestock of Detroit; nine 
grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one sister, Mrs. Lottie Lorris of 
Bellefonte.  He was a member of the Mt. Olivet lodge, F. & M., and Tyrone 
lodge No. 152, I.O.O.F.
