HERMAN H. STEIN

Sales engineer for the Altoona Pipe and Steel Supply company died 
suddenly of a heart attack at his home, 320 Pine avenue, Sunday at 2.20 
a.m. He was born in Frankfort, Ind., Jan. 21, 1899, a son of Samuel and 
Ida (Collins) Stein. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pansy P. (Garland) 
Stein; a daughter, Miss Janet at home, four sons, S/Sgt. Kirk Stein, 
Keesler Field, Miss.; Jack, Gary and Dale, all at home; three sisters, 
Mrs. Miriam Miller, Lafayette, Ind.; Mrs. Charles Rife, Altoona, and 
Miss Matilda Stein, New York city; four brothers, Alvin, Atlanta, Ga., 
Emanuel, with the navy, Leonard, Toledo, O., and Joseph, Altoona. 
Friends will be received at the Axe funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
