Stetter, age 59, of 1264 Bald Eagle Avenue, Tyrone died Friday, June 9, 2006 at 12:10 p.m. at his residence. He was born March 31, 1947 in Greenwood, the son of Michael and Anna Schnaubelt Stetter and on Aug. 14, 1993 was married at the Trinity Episcopal Church to Nancy Rae Foust who survives. Also surviving is one daughter Bobbi, wife of John Denny of Altoona; two sons: Michael Stetter and wife Connie of Blandburg and Charles Sager of Glendive, MT; two grandchildren: Megan Lafferty and Bryce Denny, both of Altoona; three sisters: Kathleen, wife of Francis Krug of Ashville; Adelaide, wife of Ralph Hollern of Maryland and Pauline Imler of Hollidaysburg and one brother, Thomas Stetter and wife Beverly of Greenwood. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Walters. Mr. Stetter was a graduate of Altoona High School Class of 1965 and retired on disability in 2004 as a machinist with Veeder Root. He was a member of the Army Reserve. He attended Trinity Episcopal Church. He particularly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling and enjoyed the outdoors. Funeral service for Robert D. Stetter will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Reverend Vance Clark, Pastor Emeritus of Trinity Episcopal Church officiating. Interment will be made in Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends may call at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice at Home Nursing Agency, 201 Chestnut Ave., Altoona, PA 16603.
