Eugene Stevens, 66, of Tipton, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at his home. He was born February 3, 1938 in Tyrone, a son of the late Harold Clifton and Alice M. (Wiser) Stevens. He married Phyllis M. Focht on June 9, 1962 at First Methodist Church, Bellwood. Mr. Stevens is survived by his wife; two sons: Clifton Scott Stevens, and wife, Beth of Bloomington, IL and Eric Eugene Stevens, and wife, Lori of Altoona; two daughters: Tyshanda V. Emeigh, and husband, Todd of Warriors Mark and Stacey C. Walker, and husband, Bill of Tyrone RD 5; seven grandchildren: Matthew and Ryan Stevens, Samantha and Kelsey Emeigh, Brandon and Taylor Walker and Jessica Stevens. He retired in 1998 as a car repairman/welder at Conrail with 26 1/2 years of service. He served in the Army National Guard. Mr. Stevens attended Tipton Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday, June 18 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2004 at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Sweitzer officiating. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
