STEVENS At 7.10 o'clock yesterday morning Jacob T. Stevens, a well known resident of the Seventh ward, died at the home of his son, Charles E. Stevens, 1513 Fourth street, of a complication of diseases. He had been ailing for over a year. Deceased was born at Clear Ridge, Fulton county, April 24, 1829. He came to this city thirteen years ago and followed his trade, shoemaking, until ill health compelled him to relinquish all work. He was married in 1850 to Sarah Rutherford, who preceded him to the grave eleven years ago. He was a member of the Fifth Avenue Methodist Episcopal church and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He is survived by these children: Mrs. W. H. Christ, of Williamsport, William F. Stevens, of Pottsgrove, and Charles E. Stevens, of Altoona; also by two brothers, Rev. B. F. Stevens, of Harrisburg, and John W. Stevens, of North Madison, Ind. The funeral will take place Tuesday afternoon, services at the house at 2 o'clock; interment in Fairview cemetery.
