Miss Stewart's indisposition covered only a few days. As late as Saturday she was down town mingling with friends. On Friday night she filled a part in the cantata, "Crucifixion," which was so ably rendered in the First Methodist Episcopal church. In fact, so sudden was her demise that even the neighbors and most intimate friends were not cognizant of any serious illness. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stewart and was raised in this place. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and was actively engaged in church work, especially in its various societies. Since the establishment of a Red Cross unit here, she had been most faithful. Miss Stewart was one of Tyrone's most attractive young ladies and she will be greatly missed in both church and social circles. She leaves her parents, and two sisters, Mrs. B. Foster Burley of Wilkinsburg, Pa., and Miss Virginia at home. Funeral services will be announced later. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday Morning, April 2, 1918
