STEWART - Dec. 21, Harry Hutchinson, youngest child of Angus B. and Ruth E. Stewart, aged 1 year, 9 months and 23 days. The circumstances connected with little Harry's death were peculiarly sad. Mr. Stewart was engaged in thawing the ice in a pump. The pump had been removed to the porch, and filled with hot water; and while the father stepped aside for a minute to another pump, the child must have pulled the plug out of the spout, when the fiery contents poured out upon the little fellow's head and neck. He was so badly scalded that, after suffering all night, he died the next morning. While the parents were left to lose their child, yet it was a comfort that God released the little sufferer. "Sweet child, thou staidst not with us long, But we had learned to love thee much; Innocent and pure, thou know'st no wrong, The Savior's arms receive all such. The loss we mourn is but thy gain, For thou hast only gone before; Freed from all suffering and pain, Thou waitest on the other shore". The Register, Hollidaysburg, Pa., Wednesday, January 12, 1876
