T. SGT. JOSEPH G. STEWART

Air Force technical sergeant, serving at Pease Air Force Base, Portsmouth, 
N.H., formerly of 306 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., died unexpectedly at 11:30 a.m. 
Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the AF base. He has been in military service for 20 
years.  He was born Feb. 16, 1934, in Burnham, a son of John F. and Carrie V. 
(Frankhauser) Stewart, and married Pamela Willoughby.  Surviving are his wife 
and father, of Altoona.  Sgt. Stewart was a member of the Bethany Lutheran 
Church, Altoona.  He was a 1951 graduate of Altoona High School.  He was the 
first Eagle Scout of Explorer Troop 15.  Friends will be received in Stevens 
Mortuary from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
