Stewart, formerly of Tyrone Forge and Birmingham, and for the past nine months a resident of Carlisle, died at 3:15 o'clock yesterday morning. She was born at Harmony Hall, Lancaster county, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Sample. Her mother was the daughter of Captain John Steele of the Thirty-second infantry in the war of 1812. Mrs. Stewart spent most of her life at the Tyrone Forge homestead, being identified with the Presbyterian church at Birmingham. She is survived by the following children: S. C. Stewart, jr., of the Kansas City Southern railroad, Kansas City, Mo., Nathaniel S., in the radio signal service of the National army, formerly of McKeesport, Mrs. William C. Brooks, of Allentown, Mrs. C. R. McMillan of this city, and Mrs. A. B. Heiskall and Miss Betty W. Stewart of Carlisle. Funeral services will be held at Carlisle and at Birmingham, Huntingdon county, at the grave on Wednesday, after the arrival of the funeral party on train No. 15 at 2:20 o'clock in the afternoon.
