Mrs. Charlotte Stiver, widow of George Stiver, died at 9.50 o'clock Thursday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martha Norman, 122 First avenue, after an illness of two months of myocardis [sic]. She was born in Bedford, February 14, 1850, and was the daughter of Jacob and Margaret Bollinger, both deceased. She spent her early life in Bedford and later removed to Potters Mills, Centre county. She has resided in this city for twenty-six years. She was married thirty-six years ago to George Bollinger, the wedding taking place at Centre county. Surviving are three sons and two daughters as follows: John, William and Ross Stiver, of Altoona; Mrs. Carrie Burkhoff, of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Martha Norman, of Altoona, and a brother, George Bollinger, of Bedford. She was a life-long Methodist and was active in church work since she was a girl. She was a charter member of the Potters Mills church and member of the Fifth Avenue Methodist Episcopal for twenty-six years, and was a devout Christian woman. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2.30 with services at the house in charge of Rev. Fletcher W. Biddle. Interment in Greenview cemetery.
