He was born July 2, 1880, in Tyrone, a son of Winfield S. and Sarah (Williams) Stonebraker, and 1904 at Tyrone married Minervia Harnish, who preceded him in death. Surviving are one son, Merle of Tyrone; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Stonebraker was an active member of the Columbia Avenue Methodist Church, Tyrone, serving on the board of trustees, as superintendent of the Sunday School, lay pastor for 50 years, and a member of the senior choir for 55 years. He was also a member of Tyrone Lodge. F&AM, and retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad service in 1952, after 51 years of service. Friends will be received at the Johnson Funeral Home, Tyrone, and thereafter at the church. Altoona Mirror, October 30, 1961
