All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ WILLIAM STONEBRAKER A lifelong resident of Tyrone and vicinity until six years ago, died at his home in Dearborn, Mich., on Saturday, aged 74 years. Mr. Stonebraker was stricken with paralysis shortly after moving to Dearborn six years ago and never fully recovered. He was born at Van Scoyoc, near Tyrone, a son of David and Olive Stonebraker, and was united in marriage with Tillie Oswalt, who survives, with the following children: Nile, Foster, Ruth, Millie, Lee and Roy, all at home, and three brothers and two sisters, Harvey Stonebraker of Van Scoyoc, David and Theodore Stonebraker of Tyrone, Mrs. Artie Cherry, of Altoona and Mrs. Melissa Friday, of Van Scoyoc. The body is being brought to Tyrone and the funeral services will likely be conducted there on Thursday, depending upon the arrival of the body. He was a member of the Methodist church.
