At his home in Martinsburg, Christian B. Stoner died at 5 p.m. Sunday of decline due to advanced years. Mr. Stoner was one of the oldest and most widely known residents of Morrison's Cove. He was a son of John and Lydia Brumbaugh Stoner, and was born October 18, 1838. He was married February 6, 1862, to Miss Virginia Metzger, who died March 25, 1883. The following children of this union survive: Mrs. A. M. Smouse and Isaac Stoner, of Martinsburg; Mrs. Ida Hoover, of Akron, O.; Howard Stoner, of Sherman, O. On April 2, 1892, he was married to Miss Elizabeth Falkner, who survives, with one son, Harvey, at home. Two brothers also survive - David, of Lannok, Ill., and Levi, of New Berlin, O. The funeral service will be held at the Brethren in Christ church, Martinsburg, on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30. Interment in Spring Hope cemetery.
