All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm DEATHS OF A DAY JACOB STONER Jacob Stoner, a lifelong resident of Blair county, died at his home at Logan avenue and Forty-third street, South Altoona, of apoplexy, at 8:40 yesterday morning. He had been ill for the past three years. Mr. Stoner was born at Allegheny Furnace, March 6, 1856, and for many years was employed on the Middle division of the Pennsylvania railroad as foreman of track workers. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and of the Railroad relief association. Besides his widow he is survived by four children, George M., William C., Mrs. J. H. Feather and Mrs. Elmer Horner, all of this city, and by three brothers, W. Scott, of Cross Keys; Daniel, of Verona, and Peter, of this city. An aged aunt, Mrs. John Griffin, of Canan Station, and an uncle, Jacob Andrews, of Hollidaysburg, also survive, with seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Monday afternoon at the Grace Lutheran church at South Altoona, and interment will be made in Carson Valley cemetery.
