Stoudnour, a well known resident of the county and a veteran school teacher, died at his home in Martinsburg, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. He was born in Millerstown, this county, October 17, 1840. Early in life he became an instructor in the county schools and for many years ably filled this capacity. He was regarded as one of the most successful teachers and for thirty-two terms taught in North Woodbury township. He leaves a host of friends who highly esteemed and respected him. He is survived by his wife and ten children: Samuel, Mrs. J. H. Kensinger and Mrs. M. B. Wineland, all of Martinsburg; Levi B. and John, of Roaring Spring; Mrs. J. E. Kensinger, Mrs. D. B. Hart and Mrs. E. G. Ritchey, all of this city; David, whose where abouts are unknown, and William, of this city. One sister, Mrs. Polly Metzker, of near Martinsburg, also survives. Funeral services will occur tomorrow morning at the Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg, conducted by the Rev. Moses R. Brumbaugh, assisted by Elder F. R. Zook. Interment will follow in Millerstown.
