Henry Stover died this morning at 8, at his home near Wopsy, of heart failure, superinduced by rheumatism. He was born October 25, 1825, in Lebanon county. Soon after his birth his parents removed to Centre county. When a young man he came to Blair county, where for many years he was employed as a master collier. He served during the late war in Company A, 205th Pennsylvania Volunteers. At that time he had five brothers and one son, Theodore Hugh, deceased in the army. He is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Laura McCartney, Mrs. Maggie McCartney, Mrs. Roxa Miller, Mrs. Jennie McClelland of Logan township, Mrs. Annie Sickles of Wilmore; three sons, Michael of Altoona and Sanford and Elmer E. of Pittsburg, and these brothers and sisters: Uriah, Daniel and Michael of Centre county, Soloman of Clarion county and another brother in Illinois, Mrs. Garbrick of Bellefonte and Mrs. Dr. Kline of Osceola. Deceased was an adherent of Asbury Methodist church. Funeral from the residence of his son-in-law, Marion McCartney, Logan township, Friday morning. Interment in Asbury cemetery.
