STRATIFF Died at 11:25 o'clock last night at the home of his son-in-law, C. M. Orr, 512 Eighth street, aged 69 years, 11 months and 8 days. The following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Emma Ake, Denver, Col.; Mrs. C. B. Goetz, of Charleston, W.Va.; Mrs. C. M. Orr, Altoona; Mrs. D. H. Kelly, of Altoona; H. O., of Altoona; H. H., of Tyrone; A. F., of Pittsburg; J. M., of Sunbury; Mrs. Ella Lias, of Chicago. Mr. Stratiff was well known in this city, where he had lived for a number of years. It will be remembered by railroad men that it was he who invented an improved grain door, but, owing to some difficulty with the company, never made much out of it. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence, 612 Eighth street. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, January 19, 1899
