Mary Straw

Age 74, of Blair Tower, died 8:30 a.m. in Mercy Hospital.  Mrs. Straw was 
employed as a cook at the Cathedral of Blessed Sacrament Convent.  She was born 
February 24, 1907 in Altoona, the daughter of Austin and Anna Marie (Irvin) 
Kuhn and married Kenneth Straw.  Surviving are these sisters and a brother; 
Mrs. Emily Brier of Cape May N.J., Mrs. Anna Gority of Altoona and Mrs. 
Margaret and Frank of Elizabethtown Pa.  Mrs. Straw was a member of the 
Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Mother Seton Guild and Daughters of Erin. 
She will repose from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at T. J. Steven's Funeral 
Home.

The funeral of Mary A. Straw of Blair Tower will be held with a mass of 
Christian burial at 10 a.m. Friday in the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.  
Internment in Calvary Cemetery.  She will repose from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. 
Thursday in the T. J. Steven's Funeral Home where a wake service will be held 
Thursday evening.  The family would prefer contributions to the American Cancer 
Society.
