Hospital in Philadelphia Monday Evening. Harry E. Sutton who about two weeks ago was taken to the Methodist Episcopal hospital in Philadelphia for treatment of an affliction of the heart, technically known as aortic insuffy [sic], died at that institution at fifteen minutes past 7 o'clock on Monday evening, and his remains were brought to Tyrone on fast line Tuesday, and taken to the home of his brother-in-law, J. McClintick, on Lincoln avenue. It will be remembered that in 1891 he was caught beneath the bricks of a falling wall on Herald street and was severely hurt. He had not been quite well since that time, but his last illness covered a period of about eight mouths. He was aged at death 40 years, 9 months and 22 days. Harry E. Sutton was born at Yardley, Pa., on the 9th of February, 1862, where he was reared to young manhood. More than twenty years ago, he came to Tyrone with his mother and family, and had resided here since that time, until about three years ago, when he removed to Snow Shoe. His occupation was that of car inspector, and he had been in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad company from early manhood. On the l5th of June, 1892, he was married to Miss Anna L. Houck, at Krider, who survives her husband, as do his mother, Mrs. Sue Sutton, residing in Tyrone, and two sisters, Mrs. J. S. South, of Yardley, and Mrs. J. Harry McClintick, of Tyrone. Deceased was a member of the Snow Shoe Methodist Episcopal church, and a member of Tyrone Lodge Knights of Pythias, and Good Will Council, Jr. O.U.A.M., of Tyrone, having passed the chair in both orders. He was active in the affairs of the societies to which he belonged, industrious in the discharge of his duty as a workman, and socially a genial, companionable man. In his death, the devoted wife is sorely bereaved and the shock is a severe one to the fond mother and sisters. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon. Services at the First M. E. church at 2.30 o'clock, by Rev. J. A. Wood Jr., followed by interment at Tyrone cemetery. Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., December 4, 1902, page 5
