SWANGER Died at his home, 863 Seventeenth street, at 6.05 o'clock last evening of a complication of asthma and heart trouble after an illness of several years. He was born at Allegheny Furnace March 9, 1867, a son of Calvin and Catherine (Madera) Swanger. He had been employed as a blacksmith by the Pennsylvania Railroad company for the past forty-six years. He was united in marriage with Miss Mollie Waite of Tyrone in 1905. Surviving are his wife, and two brothers, David and William, both of this city. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and of the blacksmith shop floral association. Funeral services will be held at the late home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon with Rev. W.T. Fisher, pastor of the First Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, May 1, 1928, p. 26
