Swartz dies in Florida Mrs. Ada Virginia Swartz, wife of William G. Swartz and a former Altoona resident, died on Friday, August 9, at Eustis, Lake county, Florida, following a lengthy illness. She was 68 years old. Her husband will be remembered as a retired assistant foreman in the Altoona brick-laying department of the Pennsylvania railroad. The deceased was born at Wayne Court, Virginia, the daughter of Colonel and Mrs. James M, Corns. Early in the life the family moved to Altoona, where nearly fifty-six years ago she married Mr. Swartz. Six years ago they removed from the city to Eustis, Florida, where they since made their home. They resided at 500 Twenty-Second avenue, prior to moving South. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Aida Poeth of Orlando and Mrs. George W. Plitt of Pittsburgh, who were at her bedside when the end came. She also leaves four grandchildren and one brother, Hiram A. Corns of Vancouver. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Altoona. The funeral took place in Eustis, with interment there. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., August 24, 1929
