Walter B. Swartz

  Walter B. Swartz, of 471 Park ave,, died Tuesday at 11:20 p.m., at 
the Altoona Hospital, where he had been a patient since January 6.  
  He was born February 16, 1898, at Robertsdale, Huntingdon County, a 
son of George W. and Alfretta Anderson Swartz.  He was married to Dora 
Shildt on Jan. 31, 1951, at Cleveland, Ohio. 
  He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Mrs. Richard (Romona) 
Ward, of Tyrone, RD 5; and Miss Roberta Swartz, at home; one grandson, 
Richard Heath Ward; one sister, Mrs. Boyd (Edith) James, and one 
brother, Earl Swartz, both of Tyrone, and a number of nieces and 
nephews. 
  He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and retired in 1964, as a 
self-employed carpenter and painter, in the Cleveland, Ohio area.  
  Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Feller Memorial 
Home, with Pastor William J. Shope officiating.  Interment will be at 
Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.  There will be no viewing.  Friends will 
be received at the memorial home Friday from 1 p.m. until the hour of 
service.
