Swartz, of 471 Park ave,, died Tuesday at 11:20 p.m., at the Altoona Hospital, where he had been a patient since January 6. He was born February 16, 1898, at Robertsdale, Huntingdon County, a son of George W. and Alfretta Anderson Swartz. He was married to Dora Shildt on Jan. 31, 1951, at Cleveland, Ohio. He is survived by his wife; two daughters: Mrs. Richard (Romona) Ward, of Tyrone, RD 5; and Miss Roberta Swartz, at home; one grandson, Richard Heath Ward; one sister, Mrs. Boyd (Edith) James, and one brother, Earl Swartz, both of Tyrone, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and retired in 1964, as a self-employed carpenter and painter, in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Feller Memorial Home, with Pastor William J. Shope officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood. There will be no viewing.
