WILLIAM SWIRES.

  William Swires, an inmate of the Blair county hospital for the past ten 
years, died at that institution last Tuesday, the body having been held at 
the morgue there since, awaiting the arrival of his wife and young son, who 
reside at Chicago.  The deceased was aged 42 years and was formerly a 
blacksmith at Juniata.  The body was given in charge of Funeral Director 
Thomas B. McFarland to be prepared for burial.  The services will be held 
this morning at 8 o'clock, at St. Mary's church, and interment will be made 
in St. Mary's cemetery.
