Died in Tyrone.

  Peter C. Swoope died in Tyrone on Friday morning last.  He had been 
engaged in assisting his son Orlando in making preparations to move, 
and it is supposed he overworked himself, which caused the sickness 
that terminated in death in a few days.  He was in the 67th year of his 
age, and had been a resident of Huntingdon for many years, acting at 
one time as postmaster.  He removed about ten years ago to Tyrone, 
where his sons are engaged in business.  His remains were removed to 
Huntingdon on Sunday morning, and after religious services in the 
Reformed church conducted by Rev. A. N. Hollifield, the body was 
interred in the cemetery.  Mr. Swoope was a highly respected citizen, 
and was an elder of the Reformed church.
