Tappan, died early yesterday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Howard J. Dibert of 108 Sixth street of Nephritis after a short illness. She was born in Montua, N.J., on Sept. 28, 1856. Surviving are the husband and the following children, Arthur B. and Frederick L., Mrs. Harry W. Wise, all of Altoona, Mrs. Olive S. Criste of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Fannie M. Reighter of Irwin and Mrs. Dibert, with whom she resided. One sister, Mrs. Ida Hinegan of Altoona and seventeen grandchildren also survive. She was a member of the First Baptist church. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from N. A. Stevens chapel with interment in Oak Ridge cemetery. The remains can be viewed at rest room No. 3 at any time.
