Tarr, wife of John B. Tarr, of 1530 Third avenue, died on Tuesday night of stomach trouble, from which she had suffered for several months. Deceased was born thirty-six years ago at Canan station, she being the daughter of Joseph G. and Margaret Burns, deceased. She is survived by her husband and these children: Willie, Jeanette, Earl, Paul and Luther, and these sisters and brothers: Mrs. D. S. Kerr, of Altoona; Mrs. W. P. Ziegler, of Williamsport; Mrs. D. S. Gibboney, of Duncansville; Mrs. Robert Stiffler, of Cross Keys; Mrs. Edward Gamble, of Altoona; Mrs. Archie Carnahan, of Canan Station; J. Harris Burns, of Canan Station; Miss Cora Burns, of Altoona; Robert Burns, of Canan Station. Mrs. Tarr was a faithful member of the First Lutheran church. Altoona Tribune, Thursday, February 23, 1899
