At the residence of Samuel Hartzell, in Logan township, Edward Tate departed this life at 2 o'clock on Saturday morning. The deceased was 84 years of age and had been a resident of this city for twenty-three years. He was a member of the Methodist church for forty-five years. He was a good citizen and highly respected by all who knew him. He leaves behind him a wife and six children: Mrs. Sallie J. Hartzell, Ruth Shelo, of Kentucky; Mrs. Bryan, of Centre county, Pa.; Mrs. J. W. Fay, of Illinois; Westley V., of Logan township, and Edward, of this city. The interment will take place in Fairview cemetery, the cortege leaving the residence of Samuel Hartzell at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Monday, December 29, 1890
