Walls. He had been employed in an Altoona restaurant. Mr. Tate was born April 23, 1904, in Blair Four, Williamsburg, R.D., a son of Ira and Missouri (Fonner) Tate. His mother preceded him in death a few months ago. Surviving are his father and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Mae Price of Tyrone, R.D., Mrs. Herbert Umbower of Royer, Miss Mildred Tate of Williamsburg, Mrs. Helen Barkman of Roaring Spring, R.D., Joseph Tate of Baltimore and William F. of California. Mr. Tate served in the navy seven years. Friends will be received at the Bechtel funeral home, Williamsburg, after 7 o'clock tomorrow evening. Altoona Mirror, February 5, 1951
