Death was attributed to heart disease by a physician that made an examination immediately after Taylor had dropped over. Taylor was a native of Texas, had been employed as a trackman for the Pennsy for some months and recently complained to fellow workmen that he feared his heart was weak, as he suffered from fainting spells and oftimes felt very weak. Yesterday morning he remarked to his wife that he was not feeling well. He worked during the morning and returned to duty shortly before 1 o'clock. He had not been working more than 10 minutes when he fell over. He was taken to the big engine house and a physician summoned, who pronounced him dead from heart disease. Deputy Coroner Chester C. Rothrock was summoned, but he will conduct no inquest. The remains were turned over to Lafferty and Tobias for preparation for burial, and tomorrow morning they will be shipped to Houston, Texas, where funeral services will be held upon the arrival of the body. Taylor is survived by a wife, residing at 931 1/2 Ninth avenue. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday Morning, December 10, 1918
