Harrison Taylor, aged 64 years, a colored hostler employed by Dr. Levengood, of Bellwood, fell dead in the latter's office Thursday evening of apoplexy. Taylor was apparently in his usual health during the day. About 5 o'clock in the evening he entered the office and bent over a cuspidor as if to expectorate, when he dropped to the floor. Investigation showed he was quite dead. Coroner McCartney went down same evening to investigate the death, but, after taking the testimony of the examining physician, decided not to hold an inquest. Taylor is well-known in this city, where he has relatives. He is survived by his wife and one son in Bellwood. Deceased was a soldier in the late war and was a member of the Bellwood post of the Grand Army of the Republic. Altoona Tribune, Thursday, March 2, 1899
