Templeton, widow of the late David B. Templeton, and a venerable and respected resident of Sinking Valley, died at her home near Arch Spring at half past ten o'clock Saturday morning. Mrs. Templeton's illness began about ten days ago with a severe cold and she suffered soon after a paralytic stroke which was the immediate cause of death. The deceased whose maiden name was Anna C. Orr was born Sept. 24, 1815 her age at death being therefore 77 years, 4 months and 11 days. She was all her life a resident of this county. After her marriage Mr. and Mrs. Templeton resided for some time at Logan town, removing in 1861 to the farm in Sinking Valley where she ever after made her home and where her husband passed away fifteen years ago. Eight children were born to their union, six of whom survive to mourn the loss of a tender and beloved mother. These are D. Clark, Alexander and Miss Eliza, of Sinking Valley; Samuel B., John K and Chambers O., of Tyrone. Mrs. Templeton was throughout her long life from childhood, a devoted and exemplary Christian woman who carried the teachings of her chosen Master into practical use in her relations with all persons, living rightly and contributing to the happiness of others. She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Arch Spring. The funeral services took place at her late home at 10 o'clock Monday morning and interment in the Arch Spring cemetery followed.
