Templeton, 83, of Reservoir Drive, Tyrone died Sunday, February 11, 2007 at 10:57 p.m. at Epworth Manor. She was born November 14, 1923 in Greensburg, a daughter of Frederick and Harriet (Armstrong) Borman. On July 10, 1945 in Asbury, New Jersey she married Roger Templeton Sr. Surviving are her husband, a daughter Alice Lear and husband Joseph of Springfield, Missouri, three sons, Roger Jr. and wife Yvonne of Tyrone, Jonathon A. and wife Angela of Bangor, Thomas E. and wife Ardis of Uniondale, 10 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Mrs. Templeton was a member of the Water Street Evangelical Church. She was an accomplished painter and her works are currently on display in a gallery at the Tyrone Hospital. She had attended the National Academy of Design in New York City. With her husband she was active in volunteer missionary work around the world, helping to rebuild churches, homes and people's lives in disaster stricken and impoverished areas including Nicaragua, Mexico, Belgium and Puerto Rico. One of her greatest assets was her love of people. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 16, 2007 at 9 a.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Bruce Boyles officiating. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to the Assembly of God Missions, 1445 North Boonville Ave., Springfield, Missouri, 65802.
