CHRIST F. TEUFEL

Of 201 E. Crawford Ave., died at 9.40 p.m. Tuesday in the Altoona Veterans 
Administration Hospital following an extended illness. He was born in Altoona 
Feb. 18, 1882, a son of Joseph and Mary (Hauser) Teufel. Mr. Teufel was a 
member of the First Church of Christ and the B. of F. and L.E. and was a former 
locomotive engineer, retiring from service in the Altoona yards in 1945 after 
30 years. Mr. Teufel was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. Surviving are 
his wife, the former Edna Miller; one daughter, Mrs. Brice Powell of Roaring 
Spring; three sisters, Mrs. Anna McIntosh of Cleveland and Mrs. Mary White and 
Mrs. Alberta Gracey of Altoona, and two brothers, John of Altoona and Harry A. 
of Akron, Ohio. Friends will be received at the Myers Funeral Home after noon 
Thursday.
