DEATHS OF A DAY

MISS ALZENE THOMAS.

Miss Alzene, daughter of Silas J. and Nettie Thomas, of Six Mile Run,
died at the Nason hospital, Roaring Spring, at 11 o'clock Friday
morning of general peritonitis, after a brief illness.  She was
admitted to the hospital on December 27, suffering from acute
appendicitis.  An operation was performed in the hope of saving her
life.  She was born January 26, 1902.  The body was taken to her home
where the funeral took place on Sunday.
