Things Briefly Told.

  Sister Mary Joseph, known to the world as Miss Ella Thomas, died at 
St. John's convent, of consumption, yesterday morning.  The funeral 
will take place at 3 o'clock this afternoon.  High mass will be 
celebrated this morning.

  The funeral of Sister Mary Joseph, who died at St. John's convent, 
took place at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon.  In the morning at 7 a 
requiem mass was celebrated in the convent, and Bishop Tuigg conducted 
the afternoon funeral service.
