THOMAS Of 412 Spruce avenue, died at his home at 1.50 o'clock yesterday afternoon after an illness of six months. He was born near Patton April 4, 1871, the son of Martin and Mary (McConesty) Thomas. Surviving are three sons, William of Philadelphia, Eugene and James, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Barley of Harrisburg; four grand-children, one sister. Mrs. Ellie Biller of Cresson, and two brothers, John and Charles of Patton. His wife, Mary Elizabeth (McGuire) Thomas, died Oct. 6, 1936. Mr. Thomas was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic church, the Holy Name, Altar and Rosary societies. He was a Democratic committeeman from the Seventh ward. Mr. Thomas had retired as a Pennsylvania railroad machinist April 29, 1938, after 45 years' service. Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this evening.
